Lorraine Godden

Lorraine Godden is an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) in the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University. Lorraine’s research is rooted in understanding how different levels of educational policy actors interpret policy to make sense of education and career/life planning, co-operative education, experiential learning, and other multidisciplinary K-12 policies. Lorraine is particularly interested in how all educators’ professional practice can be supported, and policy implementation facilitated, through these complex interpretive processes. Lorraine has successfully completed many collaborative, empirical and community-based research projects that have informed theory, policy and practice-based initiatives for at-risk youth populations navigating school-to-work transitions. Lorraine teaches a variety of Educational Leadership courses at bachelor and graduate level, and is a Practicum Supervisor for teacher candidates at Queen’s University.
